I want to make my phpBB optmised and more spider friendly using mod_rewrite (phpBB static URLs mod _rewrite 1.0.0)

but my webserver tells me that I cannot use mod_rewrite for security reasons

how can I make my forums more spider friendly??

I think you don't have to use mod_rewrite to have spiders index your site as long as you keep the ?variable to only 1.

You just need to take out the session id.
