Need meta keywords?
I never really paid attention to meta tags because I kept believing that Google simply does not care about meta tags, but after I was forced to look into a certain problem and I realized that I need to examine this ...
I reviewed some of discussions related to this in various forums, and there needs to be a unique meta description for each page apparently, but no meta keywords? Why is that? Why should we not have meta keywords? Does Google dislike meta keywords? |

No, not dislike.
It just doen't do anything with them for security reasons. Google will just not use them, but will not assign a lower pagerank to your website because you DO use them. Using keywords is standard and I suggest you DO use them for engines other than Google. Google might get a large share of the searches out there but if they get 60% Yahoo! and MSN get the other 30%. Understand? A lot of smaller searchengines still use Keyword tags. I don't know right now, but 2 years ago AltaVista still used them.
