Poke around or buy one of the SEO books. They can get expensive but they have all the info in one place so you don't have to hunt for it. (They don't have anything in them that you can't find if you look).

Here is a place to start:

SEO Marketing Basics

It is one the first few steps there is a lot involved in SEO and its always changing. Just try to catch up we all have to change our ways constantly.

There are plenty of other methods but these are the start ones. just follow below suggestions :

1. Update your keywords.

2. Do some linkbuilding process for your website.

3. Everyday spend one hour on your website.

4. Update content every day.

5. Exchange links.

this is very little bit info on seo....

The best thing to do is look at a few tutorials and have a go for your self.

First thing - learn it yourself by reading websites, before you even consider paying someone to do SEO for you. If not you will end up paying for services that are worth almost nothing (like search engine submission) instead of paying for true value-add, like link-building advice and page optimisation.

This is true, Why pay for something you could learn your self?

When you manage to first get your site on google you will feel really good that you have succeeded in doing something that many people think is really difficult.

Rather than searching Google, you may be better served getting your hands on an intro to seo book, such as the one in the 'for dummies' series. It will give you a consolidated look at all the different aspects of SEO and you'll have a foundation to do more precise research...

Take advantage of 'http referrers' (sometimes spelled "referer")
These logs will help give you a clue as to what is working.

Referrers will show you exactly what a user entered into a search engine query form and the subsequent results will show you how they led the user to your page...this should give you some insight as to what you are doing right and allow you to improve your pages...

The referrers tell you a lot about your competitors too...you will see what competitors are also listed in the search results and you can scan any pages that place higher than your one in the results.

IMO there are three basics to beginning SEO

1) Page Titles <title>...always title your pages with relevant keywords to your content (don't name your index page after your domain)

2) heading tags <h1> etc... Always use one set and one set only of <h1> tags per page and be sure to use them on relevant text to the content....us subsequent heading tags <h2>,<h3> etc for keyword text.

3) content (and keywords)...In both the above items it is paramount to use relevant text in relation to your content...

An age old say goes: "the three most important thing for a successful web site are content, content and content...presentation and navigation are secondary"

At any rate..."content" is the key to (basic) SEO...if you have quality, unique content then inbound links will come...the key to optimization is relating that quality content in your page titles, heading tags and keywords...

nail down these three things and your referrer logs will start to be populated with search engine URLs and then you can really go to work on all the other nuances of SEO

Use Google Analytics to analyse your traffic and see which keywords and pages are working best. Its free and it works very well.
