No Success with MSN
Hi,

For reasons I don't understand, obviously, I've only had 13 hits this month (first 5 days) from the MSN robot on my site.

In comparison, Google has trawled over 2500 times, and Yahoo about 800.

If you do a 'site:vinylsurrender.com' for my site on Google, you'll get 1200 odd pages, Yahoo - over 1300, but the mighty MSN - only 36!
How do you get MSN to trawl and take note of your site? They ARE supposed to be part of the big 3, but I get more hits from Altavista, Lycos, Alltheweb etc...than I get from MSN.

MSN is a tricky one, I'm still trying to get good results in MSN SERPs and trying to get MSNbot to spider more regularly.

Something I'm trying at the moment is to submit to MSN's directory (costs $70 a year). So far I haven't had any success from it, but it's early days.

Guys,
With all the greatest respect, that's exactly what I'm trying to do, figure this out.

Personally, I find MSN search rubbish, totally irrelevant, but that doesn't mean I'm giving up with it.

Does anyone have any other ideas on how to better optimize pages for MSN?

Cool, thanks for your spam

It's not always good to rely just on google/yahoo. If google kicks you out for some reason or if they do an update which accidently bumps your site out then you're out in the cold.
