not found in google anymore?!?!

Hey outthere,

I need help! My website is no longer found on Google. Before I was found with keywords, as JEPPE, GONDOLF, ACTOR (I'm a Danish Actor), but all of a sudden (this happen about 3-4 months ago) the only way I can find my site in google, is when I write the whole url in the searchfield, www.gondolf.dk.

This is my first website ever, so I need all the help I can get! And being an actor it would be great if people actually could find my on google, as well as the rest of the web! THANKS!

Your site is indexed by Google but not ranked (PageRank is zero). You have no incoming links with Google. To get noticed by Google these days you need links, links, links (with good PR). Get your friends, relatives, buisiness colleagues to link their website to yours. You should see results soon after that.

These cats are right about the links, but it goes deeper than that.

First, you have absolutely no text on your front page. That's going to kill your ranking, because Google's spider has nothing to index.

Also, you should duplicate your buttons with text-based links, like you would for non-graphical browsers. Google is more likely to follow text links than image links.

Could be several different things. Have you changed the site dramatically in the past 4 months? Did you have text on the front page before?

The thing is, I haven't changed a thing as far as I'm concerned. From one day to the next I was gone from google?!?! Have I been blacklisted?

jeppeg,

As everyone has said, you need links to your website, perferably with the text that you want to be found for (e.g. your name)

This: Jeppe Gondolf will give you at least one link. You need at least a few more to help the search engines know you've got an interesting site.

You can check what links to your website the search engines know about by using this search in Google or AlltheWeb:

link:http://www.gondolf.dk

The Google one isn't updated very often, and will show different results from AlltheWeb. Sometimes Google only shows websites that have a certain PR or more, which means even sites you know are linking to you aren't shown on the list. AlltheWeb seems to show every link it knows about.

If you get a few links I'm sure you'll soon bounce back up the listings, at least for your name. There should be some actors websites that will link to you, it's worth having a check around for sites that list actors and they're bound to add you if you tell them about your website.
