Odd results

i optimized a site a couple months ago. approx 3 weeks ago i started seeing results (updated descriptions) in search engines. I'm now ranking on page one with desired keywords on yahoo, but on google it does not even show in the top 10 pages.

a few weeks ago, I noticed some subpages on page six, but even those have dissapeared since.

when I directly search the company name, it comes up with updated description, etc. so it seems to have spidered. any suggestions to get this hitting right with google? what could cause the search engine not to pick me up?

Google's search algorithm makes harder to get higher results. Yahoo isn't as selective as to who gets top result spots.

google may be more strict, but it was indexing some subpages better than the homepage and thats what was focused on in the keywords i was searching. It seemed like maybe the homepage was blacklisted or something because i tried following all of the seo guidelines i see in here and couldn't find the homepage at all unless i directly searched the site name.

note: yahoo no longer has it as well. can you be blacklisted? i'm not using any bad practices.
