Old domain listed on yahoo and msn

I made a 301 permanent redirect using php on my old site so visitors and search engines will redirect the old site to the new URL.

Google updated the URL to the new one as it shows on their SE.
However, Yahoo and MSN still shows the old URL on their SE while showing the new site content in the site description.

Is there a technique that I need to use for Yahoo and MSN to update the old site URL to the new URL?

If you switched domains I would do the Domain redirect on the DNS level, meaning not using any php or javascript to redirect the user.

If you do it that way, if someone types in the old domain name they will be taken directly to the new one without first seeing a page.
