One different domain for our best product

hi folks,


we will have a product coming up next year, that i have very high expectations of. it will be very demanded and i am gonna trademark it and all that too.
i am about to get the domainname occupied and since i had some trouble lately with my current domanhost i thought i might get the .com somewhere else, including some additional server space. Later I could entirely move the page - if i would want to.
so i would end up with:
- my main page (chocolateriewanders.com)
- one page featuring only one product, similar design (...) (xxxxxxx.com)
...
- how careful do i have to be with this technique (keywording) ?
- does it pay off at all, or does it not make sense ?
- would i be better off having a .com domain redirecting to a certain page on my existing .com domain ?

of course i only want to benefit from this - so ultimately, would it benefit me or not?
