Overture Keyword Assistant stats
According to the Overture Keyword Assistant (http://inventory.uk.overture.com/d/...ory/suggestion/), I assume the number of search statistics only include Yahoo searches (no other SEs)?
If so, according to the blog post below can one safely multiply the Overture value by 13 [100/7.72] to get the number of searches per month for all SEs? http://weblogs.hitwise.com/heather-...stats_from.html Thanks guys Last edited by airdesign : April 26th, 2007 at 02:12 PM. |

Tools can give a good indicator of a search volume for a specific keyword phrase but remember that they are not 100% accurate - as the SEO Book puts it:
Quote:
Still its a good find - and Google's stranglehold tightens once again - surely the Google Dip must not be far off. On a similar topic here is an absorbing SE Keyword Checker it runs against Overture and uses the Overture result for Yahoo, Doubles it for Google and halfs it for MSN. i think if you take into consideration the above quote about SE approximations then it may not be that far off the mark for Google.
