Permanent 301 Redirect REVERSAL???
I have a client who had her own domain name, let us call it www.agentname.com She bought a brokerage called www.mybrokeragename.com I did a 301 permanent redirect on the www.agentmane.com to the www.mybrokeragename.com It turns out this was not the wisest thing as she is going to sell the brokerage and would like to use her old domain again. Can I reverse the permanent redirect? Please note that the www.agentname.com will be a completely new site with urls and all. Thanks.

Yeah you can I wouldn't advise she sell the other domain for a while though. You need to 301 from the brokerage back to www.agentname.com and then wait for the equity to pass back. The equity at the moment is in a state of limbo for a better anology.
It can take a while. Some people have reported 6 months - however that is the worst case senario I've heard of. I did my brother-in-laws for him about 4 months and it still hasn't passed over yet. |

Thanks for your reply. Let me make a follow up. She is selling the brokerage which includes the domain name (web site). The new owner would want to keep the www.brokerdomain.com site and not do a 301 redirect to teh agent site. Am I screwed? Tom
