Please Help, PHP SEO
I run about 6 php sites, i have tried so many things to get into google but my site will not be indexed, i have submitted it, been linked to for months and even submitted an XML sitemap, however after months my sites are not in google AT ALL, or any other search engine for that matter, PLEASE HELP, i was looking into php static page generation (HTML) but i have not found a good script, i am not in google AT ALL, not just listed low.
could it be affected by the fact that it is a dynamic dns subdomain (no-ip.org), my business is suffering and its driving me crazy, please submit your ideas, (i can write alot of php scripts), please no mod_rewrite ideas as i am running windows server 2003 IIS not apache Thanks Alot Joe |

1. Are you passing session id in the querystring?
2. Have you checked your META tags? http://www.widexl.com/remote/search-engines/metatag-analyzer.html 3. Can you give an example of your typical querystring? hanji

Er, you can emulate rewrite on IIS. Just one method.
Alternatively you can explode $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] (IIS should still have this right?) By sitemaps for google, you mean you have actually signed up there and done all the stuff through the tools provided? As hanji said, need a bit more info.... your sites haven't been blacklisted? http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum30/33371.htm http://www.netpointers-technologies...isted_on_google

Joe,
I hope that my experience and advice will help you to figure what's wrong with your site currently. First, you need to determine if your site is indexed. I assumed that you have verified that by using the site: operator and no results were returned. If there is results, then your site is indexed but low in ranking. Second, if your site is not indexed, check out the sitemap account you have with Google. It will tell you when does the bots visit your site and if any of your pages were indexed. When is the last visit? Third, if the bots did visit your site several times but not indexed. The following are some of the causes: 1. Your domain is blacklisted by Google. Submit a reinclusion request in this case after rectifying the problem. 2. Make sure your site did not block out the bots entirely. Did you use robots.txt? 3. Refer to hanji's post. Do keep us informed and we can help to narrow down the causes. Good luck ![]() |

Hope that KC Tan and hanji's posts are helpful.
I know how you feel. I'm almost at the point of giving up with google. If I'd spent as much time on the other SE's or on a linking strategy as I have trying to get into google's index I'd probably be fully indexed by now! I've got my home page indexed but the cache for my top level pages are all 6 months out of date.... Hope you get it sorted... |

hi,
can you give the url of your site? because it is essential to see your site before making any comment. but see the robots.txt file and see whether you have blocked the bots.

You stated that you are not indexed by ANY search engines .. if that's true, then there's something else going on .. look at your LOG files and see what bots are visiting .. (are you disallowing bots? Has the server been misconfigured in any way?) .. all the major search engines *can* handle dynamic DNS and content .. but your no indexing issue could be related to either .. could be a lot of things .. sorry for such an un-helpful post
