Hi guys,
What tools do you use to find out the popularity of any site?
How would you rate Google toolbar,Alexa rating, Netcraft toolbar?

Google PR doesn't signify the popularity of a site. You can have a high PR site and still have ****ty serp listings.

Alexa ratings are far from the truth! They only have a small sample to work with and thus can't accurately tell which site is popular.

Both these tools can't give you a 100% accurate idea of a site's popularity, BUT... what they do is just give you a general idea of what it might be. i.e. don't break a sweat over your google PR or your alexa ranking.

There are tools to find google page rank, link popularity etc. but my question is what factors you consider while considering popularity of a site. You can't have access to a site's visitor stats.
