Smile PR Ranking

Hi

I want to link my site to other site with high PR values. Some of the sites im linking to have a pr of 5 on their home page. But on their links page this drops to a PR of 2 or 1. Will Googlebot rate my link on their site with a PR of 1 (because it will be on their linkspage) or does Googlebot use their homepage ranking?

So when evaluating sites to link to, should I be looking for sites with high PR "links page" or does google use the overall site rating?

you should be looking for sites with high PR "links page" only. PageRank is for a particular page, not for a site. not all pages will pass PR to pages they link to. google has some sort of filter for PR passing.

every site that links to you passes on some pr value but obviously you would get mroe points from a pr 5 than a pr 1

if their homepage is a pr5 but their links page is a pr2 and your link appears on the pr2 page then you wouldnt get as many as you would if it appeared on the homepage

Also if link page has PR0, this is a warning sign. This happens quite often.
