RSS feed to regularly add fresh content to vbulletin forums
Hi.
I am convinced that my vbulletin forums moderators team is not able to follow up all the news and keep posting on my forums to keep the news fresh and the members coming back to read more.
I thus opted to add fresh content to some of my forums using RSS Feeds from major news channels.
As you certainly know, most of those sources actually only feed you one or two lines of the article, and a link to their site to read the topic.
I am convinced this would improve a little bit the general activity of the forums... yet the question I am asking you to help me answer is :
SEOwise, do you think the general overall pagerank of my site would improve by the increased member activity and eventual discussions and back links??
or would my pagerank rather decrease because of so many outgoing links??
my forums are relatively active (about 10 guests and 5 members, and 20 yahoo crawlers most of the time..... !)
I am nevertheless still worried about one thing more:
with the RSS Feeds, every two or three lines appear as a new topic..... Thus, the number of topics posted per 1 day by the RSS feeds is more than those manually posted by my users .... I am afraid my site might be considered by google as a link farm ...
