Post Searh Engine Problem

For this example lets call my site www.examplename.com

My site name is two words joint up. So before my site there would have been no results for examplename. But now if some one types in examplename into google, they'll get results.

The problem comes when they search for it, if they put in examplename, the first couple of results are not www.examplename.com, they are forums mentioning it or free host sites where it used to be located.

How can I make my site top of the list when people search examplename, short of filling every page with examplename top to bottom.

google algo seems to rank the search results using some site level criteria. I wrote a piece on this http://www.4th-media.com/google/siterank.php. I think this doesn't make sense. Unfortunately it's how google algo works.

you need to improve the overall quality (in google's eyes) of your site.

So it could be my keywords, for every sub page on my site the key words stay the same, the title also remains the same page to page.

How many words keywords should I have as meta data, also how long should a description be?

Is there any length limit to a title?

I know there is not really a limit in html as such but I'm talking about google eyes.

Thanks what you wrote in your page made sense to me.

you definitely need to make the page title unique for each page. Title is one of the most important factors that search engines rank results. Google doesn't care about meta tag (keywords, or description), msn and yahoo still use meta tags as part of their ranking algos.

Using unique titles will certainly help. Chances are that sites that mention your examplename site only use the word occassionaly, so by making your site use the word several times in the text you will beat them eventually.

However, I wouldnt worry about it too much at the moment. If you add other content and build links the placement will improve and the sites that mention you will just be lower down.
