SEO companies

hi there,

Can anyone let me know if it is worth using a seo company to make your site as visible as possible on the internet, and if so any good links? We are about to release a new commercial website and need it to be very visible.

Obviously we are going to do our own advertising etc. but we need to get the search engine side of things sorted.

I asked a similar question about a week or so ago, and didn't get that many responses. I was recommended http://www.submitwolf.net/ and that was it. After doing some research through web site submission to search engines through google, I came across Overture (http://www.content.overture.com/d/)...I have no experience with either but hope that helps a bit.

I am kind of in the same boat, so let me know if you find/hear of anything from any other forums or your own research.

I don't have any specific recommendations of SEO companies, but I have a warning.

Don't use any site that makes promises. No company can guarantee you top rankings.

A lot of people seem to fall for companies that make promises. I don't know why. Just be cautious.
