Its not that easy, its take bit time, and bit hard work required for that , but never said that Impossible.

Use the proper title, description and keywords.

You need to write articles, and submit on the article based directories, try to make more and more back links.

Try some links partner website to exchange the links with your website.

Use the keywords in your website.

I hope this will help you.

No that would be foolish... never waste good content on article directories and if it isn't good content how much do you think worthless content you don't want will help you on a directory?

Always use all your content on your own site... building links will be easier then.

I agree with visio, it is always good to use those articles in your site rather than article sites, if you have a blog it would work out well to get noticed by google through those articles.

Dont be put off by the challenge. You learn SEO as you go. Some things work, others make pages poor. You'll notice it in your page views.

The most important for search results is your title tag and your headings. They should contain your main keywords. But if you can promote it using other advertising, e.g newspaper articles, even better.

Actually SEO Book is really bad as it knowingly includes inaccurate information.

I guess you need to start off from the basics.

Download the free ebook of Brad Callen named "SEO made easy" it will give you a good start.

Some basic things you need to do

* Do some research on the targeted keywords for your site so as to target keywords that would bring in targeted traffic to your site.

* Craft your page Titles in such a way so as to include your targeted keywords within them as well as make then enticing enough for the visitors to click. Remember, your page title is the first thing about your site that searchers will see in the SERPs

* Create informative and useful content. Content that would drive other webmasters to voluntarily link to you.

* Have a clear and search engine friendly (HTML) navigation of your site, create an HTML sitemap and an XML sitemap of your site and submit the later in Google webmaster tools - sitemaps.

* Avoid using heavy flash animations and movies on your site. This will not only slow down your website loading time but will also take up unnecessary space on your pages which could have been put to use in a better way.

Visio, visio, visio.
Think out side the box my freind. This is a good idea if expanded on.

First place the content on your site and make sure it gets indexed.

Next rewrite 30% of the content, change the structure of it as well, if it makes sense, and submit that to the article directories. That is now different and you haven't submitted your own - just similar content.

Meaning both are now unquie. You get good unquie content on your site and links back as well. Best of both worlds

Thats an intelligent thinking , but it would be too difficult to change/submit around 100 articles.

Moreover if your same article is published on 100 article sites, and all of them linking back to you, then you could be heading towards duplicate content filter of google

We need to be carefull while handing content on Google. It is more dangerous than playing with a fire

Yeah granted but it's still better than nothing. If you create 1 or 2 articles a week it wouldn't be that much to change and submit the "unquie" articles and submit them to directories.

Actually I would say in this context your not. You wont have the same article on your site. So you wont get penalized. Plus thats why you make sure it is indexed before you submit it. That way any similarities and it will be the other sites who get the penalty for Duplicate content not you. As G will have you as the true owner.

Done right it is in fact 2 articles though.
