hi there,

How is it possible to get sub links within a search engine result in Google.

For example, if you search for: 'Sony'

you get with sub results:

Sony : Welcome : United KingdomProduct and company information from electronics manufacturer.
www.sony.co.uk/ - 35k - 22 Feb 2007 - Cached - Similar pages

VAIO & Computing - www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProductCategory.action?site=od...
Service and Support - www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowSiteSection.action?section=...

As with anything Google it's all part of an algorithm that no one but Google knows. The one common factor is that this typically occurs only for the top ranked site and is usually a major brand/popular site. You can read more about it in Matt Cutt's blog.

Your correct. Matt Cutts has admitted over and over to not knowing things related to this. He stats somewhere he doesn't know the algo himself. He probably knows more than you and I but that doesn't mean everything he tells us is accurate. His opinions are biased.
