Submitting an already listed website
Hi,
I have a website www.myclantemplate.com and I am already listed in the major search engines(poorly), recently I have been working alot on optimising my site for SE's, meta's and search engine friendly links etc. I was wondering where I should go from here, should I just put the site live and let the spiders find it and re-index it? or should I re-submit the website to the major engines. My worry is that re-submitting it to them may piss them off as its already indexed and therefore give my website a couple of black marks. Please advise. Regards, Graham

If you're already listed then they will find your changes on their next pass through their site.

If you are already indexed then resubmitting is no use. In fact submitting to the search engines is pretty pointless anyway. They will place you pretty far down the queue compared to real links to your site.
With directories it may be worth resubmitting though, if your content has changed significantly.
