Most of the time submitting the site to individual search engines is second only to useless. These lists are read form time to time, but they are really not taken that seriously.
To get the SE bot's to yoru site you need to get links from other sites to yours. There's a huge array of ways to do this, so I won't go into it here, but that is essentially the answer. The more links in you have, the more spiders will find your site. |

It's true that it doesn't achieve much submitting your sites to the major search engines but in all fairness it doesn't hurt to do it either. Download the free copy of WebCEO this will help you submit your site to all major search engines and a lot of others too. It has a heap of other handy SEO tools too. Also head on over to SEO Chat you'll get a lot of good info there.

I don't know if that's entirely true. Search engines have been known to rank sites they find themselves higher, because they have incoming links from other sites.

No you need not submit each page to the search engines and actually shouldn't. Doing so may hurt your rankings. Get some quality links to that page and it will get indexed fast. |
