Suggestions-new website-search results

My website www.cpastudent.com is a new one and i just started for the help of cpa students only. Through some efforts and contacts i can approach through some group of students. I also submitted to various search engines through dmoz. google shows only the website name only if i write the whole site name. The website needs to be known to all cpa students who r persuing this course otherwise my efforts r in vein. I do not belive in advertising or link exchange because my website is for educational help purpose only.
So how can i get my website ranked on google and yahoo as soon as possible?
Any suggestions to improve the website are welcomed..

Well if your site is educational resource - don't you have other sites linked as more resources? If you do then you could exchange links. Google also looks for the Title tag. Drop in couple of keywords and have different keywords on every different page as Title. Don't have your domain name in Title.

Google sees how many pages on the internet link back to your site - so if other domains have linked to your site - your site will boost up in listings. But if you do not believe in link exchange then pay for back links.

Hope this helps...Goodluck.
