the missing link!?!
Still don't get it!
When I first launched my site http://www.gondolf.dk, back in February it got picked up but google after one week or so. All my keywords were searched without any problem. Then, all of a sudden, my site was not to found on Google, unless I searched by writing the whole url. I understand that my PR is zero and that I need some backlinks to get a higher PR. However, my name is not common "JEPPE GONDOLF", so when I search google for JEPPE GONDOLF, there are only 14 hits, but none of them are my site! Does the PR dictate if your site gets hit at all or does it only determine how far down the line of hits you are placed? I thought my site would appear on the search, even if it was in the last place? Hope someone could clear this for me, once and for all. Thankyou very much. |

hmm, i just did a search for your site, and ive heard that when you get a domain with no description underneath, its either becuse its new or because its been blacklisted - as in you have used bad SEO techniques or youve submitted your sites too many times within a month, if this is the case then you will never get listed on google (unless you type in your domain) and you will never get a PR, you might be best emailing google to see if your site has been blacklisted

already mailed google
Quote:
thanks for your reply! My first preminition was that I was blacklisted (I used some invisible text on the index page, which I removed when I learned it did the opposite of helping), but when I mailed google, they answered the following: "Thank you for your note. We searched for your sites and found that they are currently included in our search results. To see the results of our searches, please visit the following link: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gondolf.dk%2F" So I'm back to square one, and it sucks that I don't know what happened and why it happend to my site. So if anyone can shed some light on this matter, please help!! |

What do you know!
I'm back on track. Did my daily google search on my name JEPPE GONDOLF, and bingo there my site was, nr. 1! My PR is still zero, but know I'm at least found via google, and I can now concentrate on increasing my PR. I'm not sure what happened! The only thing I changed on my site, was that I added text links in addition to the button links I already had on my index page. So thanks for everyones input! |
