Traffic Analyzer Recommendation

How do you analyze your website traffic ? What software or script are you using ?

What I need is something which will help me analyze where most of my website's visitors come from and how many of them are returning to my website.

AWStats doesn't have an option to show the returning visitors as far as I now.

The best choice is Urchin as far as I heard, but it is too expensive for me.

Any recommendations would be appreciated?

Thanks in advance!

You can try out statcounter.com paid service, it's simple to install and it can provide the stats as you require.

Thumbs up

Hello,

I reccomend WebLog Expert http://www.weblogexpert.com/

This is an excelent program with very nice reports. you dont have to put any special images or anything on your site. It just examines the IIS logs.

The best thing is to ask your hosting compnay what packages they have available. 99% of web hosts offer good stats packages so that would have to be yoru first port of call.

Hmm, something is wrong with my Google Analytics. I have their script for 3 days now on my website and still no results. The script was successfully detected from google on my site as properly installed and there is a notice that the data is gathering and will be available within 12 hours. And it is like this for 3 days.

Anybody experienced a similar problem with Google Analytics ?

I setup Google Analytics 2 days ago on 3 sites. To date those sites have had in excess of 3000 unique visitors (AWStats on host) and Google Analytics NIL.

Google advise that data is being collected and that they are adding resources to cope with the unexpected demand!!!

I don't believe they didn't expect that. To release such a quality product as Urchin for free and not to expect heavy load Are they stupid or what
