What else do i need to improve my SEO

I am quite new to the web design area and have just finished my first site for a friend. I am quite happy with the design and have put a few SEO techniques in that i have read are good for your page. But i'm sure i could be doing more as anyone any tips on what else i should look to put in to help me improve my search engine rankings.

You have already got PR 2. That's good for you. YOu can do a few things

- to have your links on popular websites related to your business
- to publish press releases about your company activities
- to spend some money in advertising

The keyword relevancy to page content could be improved.

Although keywrds are not used on certain major engines I find its best to have them.

I use the following tool http://www.submitexpress.com/analyzer/ on new sites, and it works very well for deciding on keywords etc.

However, your content must be well written for this to work well. Are you sure you are using the words people will search for?

If you are expecting your potential customers to search for "gabion basket installation" as you have on your site, this is OK, otherwise you might rephrase technical terms with words your target audience will search for.

I would also use "KD Builders & Groundwork Contractors" as the title, since this is your <H1> item in the web page.

Apart from that the site looks really well and loads in under 1 second. Well Done and good luck with the site.

I saw your site. you have given the content and your site is a crawlable with a page rank of 2. follow these steps:

1) write a keyword rich content
2) your title, keywords, and descriptions shoul be matched to your content
3) i have seen in the left column about what we do. give links to their page.
4)use some header tags
5) built a site structure

These are called on the topic optimization, which is the 1st part of search engine optimization.

Header tags are <h1></h1>. You should enclose your main header in <h1> tags, and your sections in <h2> tags.
Note: it looks like you have done this. Good.

The site passes XHTML validation. Very important for SEO. This will give you an advantage.
