Whats gonna happen next?
hey guys,, I got my site with a lot of effort and an amount of money (but worth for both sides
) PR4 and now I want to move one step next,, I have links from sites that have PR5 more than three -i think-, PR6 one or two, and PR7 one link. So whats my next pr seems to be? I know there's calculations for that but i don't think I'm good at that. |

Google only updates 4 times a year, but i'd think you'd need more inbound links to get to PR5

I would stop worrying about PR. It's good to have it, but not essential.
Get good content, refreshing content, W3C compliant code, and a good interface for the user, and your site won't need the PR. |

I would suggest to more focus on keyword (s)that you are targeting, you should get atleast 5 to 10 organic links from most relevant site in a day on a consistent basis and update your content more frequently.

Why do you need to 'beat it'? Is the traffic that you are getting not sufficient? You could advertise your products. Have you looked at Adwords?

they are not actually products. It's teachers and students site where they can get information. I don't think adwords will help me because i think topics are very specific in my site. I SHOULD BEAT HIM! ,then others which are not in my area ![]() |

Yes, I remember the site. I just was not sure why you feel the need to compete with the 'other site'. What keyword/phase are we talking about, here. If it's Turkish, then an English (Or Russian, or Hebrew) translation would be nice, too.

The word türküler isn't even mentioned once on the page. You should have it maybe five or six times in different sentences, for that particular homepage.

One big issue to remember here is that PR != SERP's.
I've got a PR3 site that's getting somewhere bewteen 20-40 times as many visitors as my two PR4 sites combined, and that's because of the SEO work and the range of keywords that I'm going for. PR looks nice, but the only people that realyl carea bout it are other webmasters. Higher PR doesn't get you visitors or rankings. Better links and SEO work does. |
