I agree to you. But two points are not clear:

You are talking about URL length and then you are saying keyword. Is their any prescribed length of the URLs for SEO?

Second point I am sure is not a necessary thing to notice for SEO. If WordPress should be necessary for SEO for developing sites then all other technologies would have lost their charm. It's a false alarm.

Few more points I would like to add:
Do not use underscore for file naming or in URLs. Use dash instead.
Return proper HTTP status code directly.
Use 301 redirect instead of 302 redirect.
Use CSS sprites for images that are loaded on every page within your website.
    Use CSS based menu.
Avoid JS for linking within your site.
    Avoid inline JS and CSS
Place external CSS file over external JS file.
Test over different browsers and screen resolution.
Create a custom 404 error page if you have removed the URLs completely from the site. If renamed the URLs use 301 to redirect from old to corresponding new urls.
Don't mix www and non-www while linking.
    Use breadcrumb navigation.
Use canonical tags for pages having similar contents.

Thanks for the list - very helpful. I don't understand the above statement, though... Could please just clarify with a few words or perhaps give an example?

    Thanks.

Thank for your board message i would like to add one more thing which is most important while optimizing your website. The broken link is most common factor impact on your search engine ranking. We have noticed many website lose their good ranking because of few broken links.

    What?!

The statement should have sounded like: "No developer skills? Use WP then". Not that I'm against this CMS, but it's too kinda' simple for any more or less serious purpose.
