Hi to all
Well,i want to read some documents about kerberos.Not big enough,just to understand the main idea of kerberos.A doc not bigger than 10 pages.I have read many documents but i havent found what i'm looking for yet.Could you propose me any? |

As always, Wikipedia provides a fairly simple run down of the protocol. And you might find The Moron's Guide to Kerberos* to be helpful in giving a general overview of the why's and what's of the protocol.
*-- No offense intended btw, why was this moved to the Outhouse? It's a perfectly valid question, albeit phrased a tad awkwardly.... oneMSBi, could you move it back?

I promised to post some links that answer to my question(yes it's true that it was a bit vague and sorry for that).I want to understand how this "ticket" thing works and cons and prons of kerberos.The following links work out my questions:

I'm actually doing a little work with this as well. Be sure to check out Yale CAS which is building off the MIT kerberos system. A thought it was a pretty smooth implementation.
For those who are not familiar with these, they are authentication services for web applications. You can pretty much put several applications (different servers, locations, the whole deal) in different places and have them all authenticate from a single LDAP. One of those Single Sign on Things (SSO) that was a glowing tech word some years ago.
