Another IRC Q
IRC won't connect on my work PC, i'm assuming that it's because of our firewall. the network i use connects on port 6667, but when i run Netstat the only open ports are:1038, 1039 and a few others, and the foriegn address is i guess whatever port is open on the server.
Is there any way i can get 6667 to open up so i can connect to IRC? |

Firewalled
You need to allow traffic through port 6667(ircd). Whether you have control of your firewall rules determines whether you will be able to jump on irc. If you do not have the ability to get onto irc through a standard port, you can try setting up a BNC on an external machine with a port you know is allowed by your work network.
