cgi proxy

does any1 know or have a script that would enable me to have the same functionality of anonymous browsing like the following website...

Thats the best i have found as it allows all java and downloading of files. it was perfect until the network admin blocked out the site.
iv searched on google every single web based proxy is blocked out now.

So i need a script that can enable to browse all sites. that i can store on my own web server at home :/

i have downloaded one from v3.vl8.net it kind of works but doesnt get images for some reason and im not really up on cgi...

any help appreciated

One can configure Apache to serve as an anonymous proxy easily- but it would be pointless to configure your own box as a anonymous proxy- all the proxied traffic would be coming from your real IP.

Are you looking for an anonymizer because you're a tinfoil hat wearing paranoid, or because you're looking to do quasi-legal stuff?

If you're looking to do something incredibly lame and quasi-legal (like partner and/or referer stuffing) sod off. If you're a paranoid, hey, you get what you pay for. Google for a service and pay up.

just at college the college admins block websites even ones such as this.. forums chat allsort.
its not that i want to hide my ip at home. i want to be able to access the proxy at home from college so i can browse to sites.
the software they use is symantic stuff and it looks at the address ur asking for. if its in the black list then it kills it and gives u a not aloud page. but as iv used some web based proxys before they hide the address in code or encription and the symantic software doesnt see this.. so u get your page.

as it easy for me to reset my modem to get a new ip address where as i can just ask a website to keep mirroring their address so i can get to it.

lots of gaming sites are blocked and even nokias site :/ . its not like its gonna be for pr0n etc cos tbh ya can get to loads of that anyway LOL but nar seriously
its a totaly honist need for sum type of cgi.

How was I supposed to know what you wanted, when you didn't explain it in the first place? I was just going off what I've seen in the past as the usual case.

Besides, when I see folks that have the abbreviation habits such as yourself, I tend to think script kiddie. That's my own prejudices to deal with, though, no offense.

Hmm. If you can change the proxy settings of your web browsers at school, you could set up an apache box at home to handle proxied requests- though that wouldn't really be the thing you're looking for. I don't know, I've never really thought about URL mangling scripts before, which IS what you're looking for.

Someone with a moderate amount of perl ability could probably whip something up with URI::URL and LWP::Simple, I bet. Maybe you could try spelling out the specifics of your problem at www.perlmonks.org, if anyone has created something like this, they'd be at that site.
