    Question


    How do I get and SSL certificate for my website? My provider supports SSL but I don't totally understand. I need to get a certificate for my website. Any help at all would be great. Thanks!

    Your ISP should be able to host a certificate for you on their webserver that is registered to your domain name as this is the case with mine, they have advised me they can get the certificate and host it for me for about NZ$200 per annum. But I have not done it yet, but that is how it is done

    You need to register a Security Certificate. There are a small number of companies who provide this service. The cheapest I know is thawte. Full details are on http://www.thawte.com/ It's a bit of a long winded process but once you've done this, you can get your web host to implement the certificate quite easily.
