Talking SSL - Is it Hard?

Okay, maybe the question sounds a bit naieve!

I want to apply for a job, but part of the job description reads

'Experience of the implementation and maintenance of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology is highly desirable. '

and I have no such experience.

The employers are looking for most, but not all, of the skills on the job spec., so how hard would it be to get by (acquire) the skills to implement and maintain a SSL?

    Thank you for any advice.

Easiest way to get the experience would be to download the sources, and deploy and SSL server on your Linux box. That way you'll learn all about how it works, especially if you have problems.

    Hope this helps.
