I am using Apache Directory Studio and Apache Directory Server v2 as a key distribution centre (kdc)
with jaas authentication
I read the following articles on the javamonkey website,

Through Apache Directory Studio, I setup a connection
when running my server app using the underlying gss server on port 80
when setting up a connection to Apache Directory Studio I am using port 10389
My server just times out after trying 3 times
In the netbeans console the application is looking for krb5.ini in the system folder
I found some settings on the web for this ini file

The jaas config file has the following properties
Client {
com.sun.security.auth.module.Krb5LoginModule required
useTicketCache=false;
};

Server {
com.sun.security.auth.module.Krb5LoginModule required
useKeyTab=false
storeKey=true
useTicketCache=false
principal="ldap/localhost@EXAMPLE.COM";
};

The application, server and client has the following in the property files

server

realm=EXAMPLE.COM
kdc=localhost
service.password=secret

Client

realm=EXAMPLE.COM
kdc=localhost
client.principal.name=test
client.password=secret
service.principal.name=ldap

The connection information in the Apache Directory Studio has some of the following settings

HostName localhost
Port 10389
Encryption No encryption

Simple Authenication

Bind DN or user uid=admin,ou=system

I am using Windows xp professional, service pack 3
also have the apacheds running as a window service
and am using the software got from apache directory project

Is something I am not doing correctly?
