I am trying to detect the promiscous mode of my network card on my computer using Solaris 2.7, but am having no luck in trying to find Java?C/C++ type program that I can download and try to run. I downloaded the ifstatus program but apparently it is not compatible with Solaris 2.7, and tried to download the cpm(check promiscous mode) program and also failed with that. Can anyone give me any programs that will allow me to check for promiscous mode on my Unix terminal, or tell me how I can use cpm or ifstatus with Solaris 2.7.

Have you tried l0pht's new tool? I heard they've made some program for Windows and
    a few Unix's. I don't know if its useable,
but trying won't do any harm
