to me it looks like a company that cannot pay professional mathematicians to do the proof.
or the nsa is wanting to observer haxors (just again)...

am i allowed to go the "hacker" way? ("if you cannot get in using the front-door, iīll use a back-door")

security is not a matter of predicting numbers...

I followed that strory for a while, and the most interesting part there is that they got embedded os in their server with nothing but a web server and java running. Btw, dont they have open box for everyone to (try to) break in?

>>security is not a matter of predicting numbers
Well, it is sort of - especially in this case when they use those numbers (really not, combo of # and letters) for crypto routines. At least what I recall from thereg article...

what i meant was: if the numbers are secure, you need to find a security hole in their os or web server or what...

yes, they might be quite good at security by making their own os and not revealing sources. but no one is perfect... if i had the time........

Heck, if I only had that many vacation days! I get 10 here, and friends of mine in Europe complain about their "measly" 4 weeks! Where do you people get vacation days like that?!

(PS Anyone know a company that's hiring COBOL/DB2/IDMS programmers, that give more than 3 wks vacation? )

It's not law, just strong unions and tradition for big companies to be 'nice'.
Even here small companies tend to give you a lot less free days.
