Design for a word processor.
Hey, I'm starting a new project which requires me to build a word processor...of sorts. The problem I'm facing is that I haven't got a clue where to start lol. I'm programming this for Linux. I spose I could do it in Java so its cross-compatible... but as I say I wouldn't know where to start.

Is it for personal or commercial use? If I were going to start something like this for personal use, I think I'd start out with the Qt Libraries, because they are also cross platform and have lots of thorough resources...for e.g. this one might be useful for getting started on your project.
But it will depend greatly on how complicated your "of sorts" means...and of course Qt is C++...which might be a good thing or a bad thing depending on both you and your specs... |
