does anyone know some good refrences on encryption? Oh, and if you know references to image encryption/ authentication please share them with me... Thanks!

That's kind of a broad question. Are you looking for books or links? Can you provide more info about what you're trying to do? When you say image encryption are you speaking of just encrypting images or steganography?

If you're open to suggestions for books, look at Applied Cryptography by Bruce Schneier.

try libcrypto++
Do a search for libcrypto++. It has been a while since I've played around with it but I remember it had a wide selection of encryption algorithms along with the C++ source code......
