    Manipulating Data From Websites

    Hey guys,

I was wondering how to go about pulling certain info from a website and then manipulating it into forms, graphs, or charts.

Examples of sites doing this is camelcamelcamel.com and steamgamesales.com

I'm interested in learning how this process works.

    Thanks

Someone had posted up a link from howtogeek to help me out (it got deleted when the thread was moved). It used php to pull the site content on the page.

How would I go about pulling separate information out such as the title, price, and maybe description?

What you are looking for is a screen-scraper. What a screen scraper does is it takes the web page, and takes the data on the screen to be used for different purposes. If you find a good screen scraper tutorial you should have most of your questions answered.
