    Decyphering cleartext


    I've got a bunch of hex from a progra, written in the hex are cleartext passwords. Does anyone know how I can decypher the cleartext and get the passwords?

    Um, you don't need to decipher cleartext, thats the definition. http://www.asciitable.com/ has tables so you can convert hex back to text. I'm sure there are programs available as well

    What language are you using for this? For instance, in Perl you could just do:

    $text=unpack("H*",$hex);

    to convert the hex back to readable text.
