Well this is my area of expertise. What is involved? well for me and my team of 4 developers we have been working for 2 years on our full feature POS system.they are typically very advanced systems and will require lots of work.

a touch interface where it display couple of table

    when an order comes in

a touch on the table give a selection of single order or combined ( thus one bill or single bill)

then menu comes up to choose food etc

once order input is done it is sent to kitchen printer to be printed out

then once customer is done the bill is printed

Even that can get more complicated then you would think, but that is not any where near what anybody would expect out of a POS system. When a restaraunt puts in a POS most of them could care less about the order entry and ticket printing.

The major selling point of POS is that the systems are intended to SAVE money. This is accomplished by advanced reporting, inventory control, labor management, menu costing analysis, etc.

Plus point of sale systems are at a record low for sales at the moment.

    Hi all,
I was browsing over the forums and stumbled across this one. I am actually looking for developers of POS Systems to integrate with our processing company. We have a great developer partnership program and would even help you market your POS in areas you may not have been able to otherwise. In addition to helping you market your system, we can also add much value to your system as we handle all services in-house and can add VARs (Value Added Reseller), like Gift Cards and Loalty Cards, to your system to help with the marketability. I am able to help with your PA-DSS and PCI-DSS compliance issues. Please let me know if anybody may be interested in developing a great Partnership with mutual benefits and the opportunity for exponential growth in the industy.
