Applications Section
I dont know if this has been suggested before or not but what about an applications forum? Specifically for troubling shooting problems with certain applications. For example Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, etc. .... threads on products that they support.

There are forums for photoshop, flash etc. already, and since we don't get many (any?) questions about how to do things in word (with the exception of macros which belong in the vb forum) and suchlike, i don't really see the point. Do feel free to hunt out the official forum for the relevant software though.

If any threads are created for any of the applications that you listed they are usually in the Windows forum and for the little amount that we do receive, I feel that they are fine in there for the moment.
However, if the amount of threads/posts to specific applications were to increase greatly, then this could be a good idea.

Depends on the type of application in question IMO. This is a development forum after all, so only applications that relate to development (including web development, of course) should be considered. Dev Shed has never been about asking questions about how to do a mail merge in Word, or write a formula in OpenOffice Calc.

You can see that some (development related) apps from Microsoft (MsAccess, SQLServer, IIS ...) are covered here, the same for Adobe (Coldfusion). I don't see place for Autodesk's products, but correct me on this as I'm just thinking of AutoCAD |

Autodesk owns Maya now and I think some other 3d modaling stuff. Any 3d stuff would probably be related to games, and this fit into the game programming form I'm guessing though. Other apps I figure they can just go in the relavent OS forum.
