To close threads you need to be login. First make sure you are login. Then click the Close thread on thread tool menu. If you cannot see this option, then try Edit Thread option on that menu. Then you will redirect to another web page which have option to close threads. Let me know whether this work or not, if not I have to check your user group permission level.
