I have already registered myself with this site...but what is most F***ing is that whenever I try to send someone private message it shows somethings like following *********************************************** yog999, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: 1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? 2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. 3. Have you activated your account? Click Here! to receive activation e-mail and verify that your account has been activated. 4. You can also visit our Esupport site to read the Knowledgebase Question that deals with finishing the activation process. Click Here. Log Out Home *********************************************** How to get out of this hell !!! I know this is not the right forum to post, still i am posting this here coz I AM FRUSTRATED !!! Help me out if anyone can !!! |

Firstly, why if you know you are posting in the wrong place are you posting here? Next time post this kind of hing in the Lounge, or the Outhouse....(And even if you had posted in the right place use a proper title, :P) And the reason you cannot send PMs yet is because you have to have made 10 posts to be able to send PMs, its to stop people signing up just to spam PMs.

Read the FAQS..you can't send PMs until either your posst count is above 100 or you have been here for 90 days - or something like that.
Posts like this are not appreciated round here. It was pretty rude and if you had bothered to read the FAQS and T&Cs before posting, then you woudn't have had this problem. General forum behaviour is to search before posting a question anyway, again solution would have been found without writing such a twat-like message.

Just to clarify: It is 10 posts, I'll even link to another thread, yay: Why can't I PM anyone? [EDIT]: Link to an actual FAQ thread mentioning it, well post anyway: http://forums.devshed.com/showpost....436&postcount=8 Last edited by kuza55 : November 30th, 2005 at 03:26 PM. Reason: Edited for clarity; yes cybersaga, it was a typo, I meant 10 posts, not 10 days.... |

Wait I am confused about something, does the sig only show up the first time the user posts on the thread? Then after that it doesn't? Am I seeing this right? Also, I just now noticed it doing that. Man I am just a quick one today!

With his first post being a complaint about how he can't send PM's, how much you wanna bet he came here for the sole purpose of sending spam PM's? The rule's working well.....
