    why there is no coding contest section.
    we should have a separate section for it.

    Interesting suggestion. I shall pass it along to the powers-that-be.
    [PHP] | [Perl] | [Python] | [Java] != [JavaScript] | [XML] | [C] | [C++] | [LUA] | [MySQL] | [FirebirdSQL] | [PostgreSQL] | [HTML] | [XHTML] | [CSS]

    I used to post code challenges periodically in the C and perl forums. The winner(s) would have their name(s) on my signature for a few weeks in bold green font, with the words " is a superior quality programmer" following their names. Haven't done that in a while, but you can see the main post here:

    Unfortunately, the new admins pushed that sticky to a separate sub-forum . I think I should push it back into the forum it really belongs in.

    ^^but it will be good if we have separate section for contest.
    and then we can have different kind of contests.
    or something like programming league.

    I like this idea. They do a similar thing on Sitepoint with CSS, and it always gets a ton of submissions. But have it in the Lounge maybe? Instead of a specific forum. The language can change each week, and the person has to do a specific topic, or code something that really has to be thought of outside the box for it to work.

    An example on sitepoint is we found a way to make a float bottom (I think only in Firefox IIRC) in CSS, it was a fun challenge.

    Thanks for the suggestion - adding it to our list of things to consider for the upgrade.
