Converging the Dev Network?

This probably isn't a new idea but I figured I would throw it out.

Dev has a couple of forums right? Everyone considers this a network. Would it be possible to converge all of the forums together? Such as you signed up on devshed, and you could then log into DevH's. Or any other one for that matter. Because creating multiple accounts suck.

That way the rep, sig's, and everything else could carry all over wherever you are.

What do you guys think about that one?

It's been mentioned more than a few times on several of the boards.

Part of the problem is the fact that different people use the same handle on different forums-- who gets the name?

Some members of multiple forums have different names on the different boards.

Most members are one- or two-board only members, maintaining a membership list the size of DevShed's on a smaller board such as DevArticles is impractical.

Merging all the boards into one megaboard is not a good idea-- DevShed itself is unwieldy as it is, imagine tripling it...

not to mention that some people are banned from one forum and not from others.

And since it's been asked already, why don't you guys make a suggestion that's actually feasible? Like an export/import script for account settings. You'd still have to make each account separately, but your settings/sig/preferences could be moved.

Oh snap, sorry guys I meant to close this thread. It was already asked and I thought I did that. Thank you for the long winded replies. Yes I know it's not feasible right now, but maybe sometime it will be.
