Might be a particular hop that your traffic to devshed is going through that is causing the problem, and that hop is only used when you try to connect to devshed.

It just happened to me for the first time on a site other than devshed- it was at aximsite.com. Also a vBullitin forum. I'll go to the vBullitin site and see if I can find some info there.

It doesn't - I have had it happen on other sites - can't remember if it was in old IE using days or current Opera using days - but it certainly was not with Firefox.

I seem to be, do I not? Is it better or worse that you are not alone in this? I have to say that it has not happened to me for ages so something may have changed (updates to Firewall, Windows Updates, etc.).

It used to happen to me a lot at work. (Using IE, that's all we are allowed to use). It used to happen on DevShed and Gmail. Gmail was the worst, sometimes I could not even get on (only an annoying file download thing, which was a file called 'mail' and it was full of rubbish). The devshed used to sometimes promt the .php for download. I just wrote it off as firewall / proxy problem and didnt even try to find a remedy cause it would be a very very low priority for lanops. Then however, a collegue told me to check 'use http 1.1 through proxy' on advanced connections, and this fixed everything. That's why I asked about the proxy thing before

Er, I guess better in that I don't have a problem on my end. Read- I'm not responsible!
