I think it would be neat to make the following:
[DEVRULES][/DEVRULES] == The devshed rules [DEVHOWTO][/DEVHOWTO] == The Devshed How to Post a question [DEVPHPFAQ][/DEVPHPFAQ] == The Devshed PHP FAQ [DEVCFAQ][/DEVCFAQ] == The C Programming FAQ I think just a simple link to the threads would be great. Maybe even shortening them down to something like [PHPFAQ] [RULES] [HOWTO] [CFAQ] ... would be neat. Hey, if you already have them that's cool I didn't know. Thanks, Chad

What would really be cool is if you could define your own canned responses in your control panel and assign vbcode tags to them. That would cover your problem as well.
Like for me: [ CANNED=u_n00b] Inserts: "Use the goddamn CODE tags for crying out loud, and try to pick a more useful topic. Also my psychic abilities are down a little atm, might be a biorhythm thing. Please read the new user post and try again." Or like, [ CANNED=urmom], which would insert the obvious response, of course. In all seriousness, though, that would be a pretty handy vbulletin hack. Then again I could just start using keyboard macros for it -- which might not be a bad idea now that I think about it.

I can't see people using it even if it were implemented. Why not
just bookmark those pages and copy/paste the URLs if you need them. A lot of people have links to those threads in their sigs too so it's not like they don't get enough exposure...
