Hey in Karate there are more belt colours than the forum suggests.

I like pretty colours - we should have more pretty colours.
  1. White Belt
  2. White Belt w/ Yellow Stripes
  3. Yellow Belt
  4. Yellow Belt w/ Orange Stripe
  5. Orange Belt
  6. Orange Belt w/ Purple Stripe

Yea the belts system here works with the "trolling arts" not "martial arts" - the more you troll the faster you get new belts

Actually belt colors/rankings differ depending on style of martial art but also there can be schools of similiar discipline which still have different colors. I have been studing taekwondo for over 15 years and I have been to various schools during my training and wouldnt you know it each school had a slightly different ranking system.

anyway. at the moment I think it's too easy to get to blackbelt. I think 5k should be blackbelt and then add in the required number of colours to get to the 5k. colours we don't have now can be included in a pesudo-random way to make sense. it doesn't have to follow a discipline

I'm not sure I can handle the lack of purple and orange.

Apparently purple is a complex colour, making it a common favourite amongst designers.
