Enforced reading of posting guidelines for new members
It would be rather cool to implement a hack whereby the first post a user makes, they get some guidelines on how to post appear above the typing box, thereby making sure they at least acknowledge we are trying to help them to help themselves by stating their problem celaryl and concisely, without titles like "HELP!!!!" or "SOMETHING WENT WRONG".

Anyone else think its a good idea, Ive seen a fair few members today who shoulda read it first...

Most users will just "click-through" any kind of notice like this and any additional hacks added into the vB system create more work and maintenance for the admins (especially when upgrading), so I doubt this would be implemented. It's been discussed in the past, fwiw.
