Firefox Plug-in
Hey,
I think it would be neat to have a plug-in for Firefox. Something like the gmail checking thing, but would be a DevShed checker. That way the user could put in theri username and password and get to see how many subscribed threads they have and also how many PM's the user has. That would be neat. Anyone else think so? Better question would be does anyone know how to create a FF plug-in? Would DevShed be willing to open up their hearts and db to the checking? Chad

I'm not sure about that. I like to come here to help others and to have a bit of banter (and some serious discussion!) not only when I get a PM or subscribed threads (notifications of which get e-mailed to me anyway).
Just my view though.

Yeah, that's true. I guess some people get them emailed to them. I don't because my trollin' as$ would get too many emails a day. I was just thinking it would be something that no other forum has. No big deal though, maybe I will learn something new with my own sites and then we can move on from there.

I can't see it happening - the admins want people on the site rather
than getting the data remotely. IIRC someone suggested something along the lines of wanting the contents of new posts in subscribed threads being emailed along with the notification - the admins shot it down...

Yeah, its all good. It was just an idea you know? Maybe I will make a notification thing on my own site and then when it works I will see if they want to port it over.

I was just thinking that, RSS is already avliable, it doesn't list the content, but you can see how many new posts there are etc.. (maybe it does show the content)
