You can set it to run at 50% CPU capacity (any percentage, really), and therefore cooler.

You can do both!

And Folding is very innocent thingy, with options for setting it for High,Low,Normal priority process; setting it for required percentage of CPU usage; and other things.

My fellow folder at DevH, PunkRocKevin used to fold on his laptop at 25% CPU usage, IIRC. It even rocked at that speed and every bit helped!!

But it might get the regulars involved. At any given time there seems to be more active members here than at DevH.

[Edit] Being a noob blows... no rep/rep power, no avatars, no signatures.... sigh. Maybe I'll have to camp out at DevS more often, as though avatars and sigs and such really matter Maybe I'll take up residency and troll the Hardware sections, if B-Con will allow it.
